I created this dark-skinned fierce feminine warrior angel primarily because I realized that most, if not all representations of angels have light skin tones, and I wanted to represent the populations of angels out there who don’t mirror the white patriarchal stereotype. Racism infiltrates all levels of our society, regardless of whether people choose to accept that or not. This holy lady is bad-ass, and really empowers the space in the room.
