“I am at home in my body”

As we know, turtles carry their homes with them. Land turtles, river turtles, lake turtles, sea turtles, sky turtles, even space turtles.

They all carry the special message that not only is home is where the heart is, home is their body, and they are at home wherever they are. Though have an outer shell that protects them, they are vulnerable inside, and without their shell, they die. The turtle's shell is a lot like the boundaries we create to protect ourselves. We put them up to protect the sanctity of our home space within, and we retreat inside to stay safe.

This is a good thing, and yet it is also important to note that turtles will emerge from their shells and explore the world around them, allowing themselves to be vulnerable, knowing that if they need to protect themselves, they can.

So, today's watermation is an ode to Turtle Power!
