Know Better Do Better
“When you know better, you do better, and inspire others to do the same”
Humanity is growing up at an accelerated rate, emerging from a place where abuse, neglect, and stagnation were normalized, defended, and expected. With that comes a writhing emotional release from the collective human soul, something that is potentiated by the covid-19 pandemic, causing the entire world to isolate and introspect for a while.
Recent were the times when we enslaved others to do our labor for us while we explored the sophistication of our egos. Recent were the times where women could not vote, were silenced when sexually assaulted, gaslighted into thinking their trauma wasn’t real, or that they deserved it. Recent were the times when those who spoke out against abuse were attacked, those who stood for basic human rights, sovereignty for all, and freedom from oppression mocked, shunned, censored, and berated. Recent were the times where people were intolerant of any belief besides their own.
Recent, and yet still very much here. While we adapt ourselves to be more sensitive, independent, compassionate, effective, sustainable, and kind, the backlash of the oppressive regime is very real, a vast shadow cast by the light of our illumination.
We are illuminating things that are not okay, and saying, “It’s not okay that these things are not okay. It needs to stop, and people need to take responsibility for their behavior.”
When we know better, we need to walk our walk. We need to show the rest of the world why the old ways are wrong and that there are new ways to be that honor everyone involved, that feel good for everyone involved, and that they are not letting go of freedom, but accepting accountability, and respecting other’s freedom.
Every time we do that, we inspire everyone involved to do the same, like the butterfly effect. We plant the seeds of change, we water the gardens of ascension, and we co-create a better world around us.
