Subconscious Mind
“Underneath our conscious minds secret treasures of the self lay waiting to be discovered”
Our subconscious minds are amazing. As a teenager, I studied a lot of philosophy and came across a lot of the work that Karl Jung had done around it. Those who have read or know about the Big Red Book will know what I'm talking about. There was a child that Jung studied who could access her subconscious mind and therefore had access to seemingly limitless information. Under hypnosis, she spoke Aramaic, knew intimate details of people's lives in the Byzantine empire (some of which was later corroborated), and other things that opened Jung's mind to the idea of the collective unconscious: the idea that we all share a mind underneath the chatter of our consciousness and our ego selves that we all have access to. This is a place we touch in dreams, psychedelics, in meditation, and in hypnosis, where we enter deep theta brain waves. There is another mind that we have access to, if one can call it a mind. Some call it the Akashic Records. This is the information coded in space of all that has ever happened. If one can imagine the entire universe as a conscious entity, of which we are an intimate part of, one can imagine that this entity is aware of everything that has ever happened. As a part of it, we have access to that mind. The key to accessing it is elusive, it involves letting go of the authority of our structured perception of reality and allowing ourselves to get out of our own way so that we can experience deeper truths, and trusting that what we learn is real, in some form or another. It doesn't have to make sense. When we access this place, we are shown only relevant details, otherwise our minds could not handle it. There is a wealth of information around this, and yes - it does sound absolutely woowoo AF. That doesn't mean it's not real.
