Keys

Gonna share my love of keys here today now in this moment with you.
Every time I whip my lanyard out of my pocket and flip the keys into my hands (or drop them in doing so 😎), I marvel at their shape and the intricacy woven into the metal. I have this feeling of electricity running through them, of ancient seals being removed with every click of the lock as the key slides in, opening portals and gates to other worlds. Even with my house key.
In a way, that's what a house key IS. It is the tool required to secure the entry, exit, and return of the portal into your home. Into a safe, a locker, a place where we keep things safe.
Keys aren't only made to open mechanical locks. No - there are a great many forms that keys take. A key is used on a map in the form of a box to decipher the symbols. A key is is used in learning as the fundamental concept upon which the rest of the understanding rests. A key takes the abstract form of a crucial share in social circumstances. Keys take the form of digital numbers to secure access to digital product licenses. You get the idea.
In all of these forms, a key is that which allows access. For many of these forms, it also filters who may have access. A powerful instrument, indeed!
Potentially the most powerful and most useful of all locks a key can open is (the human heart - awwww - close!) the potential within each moment. When we unlock something within a moment, the moment unfolds and all who are participating enter into a sharing of experience that goes as deep as all are willing. This is where magic happens, where love lives, and where the Universe is consciously happening. This is a complex and simple key. It's made of awareness, courage, humility, and openness. It's made of compassion, respect, love, and truth. It has elements of patience and of action, allowance and initiative. It is never quite the same, yet is always right there, waiting to unlock every moment.
