Ask for Help
“It's okay to ask for help”
This is a message I need to hear every once in a while. While it's great to be self-actualizing and independent, that self-actualization and independence requires some outside assistance from time to time. It's to my detriment to believe I'm above help, or that no one can possibly understand, so how could they help? Really, we are all doing this human thing changing the world and healing the world, allowing people to be in touch with emotions and say no to trauma, abuse, savagery, and hate. We all need a lot of help, and if we don't ask for it, how does anyone know we need it?
The watercolor depicts an angel. By no means am I endorsing any religion. Instead, I'm advocating that we ask our higher selves for help as often as we need. Such an invitation is well received, and always available. We can also ask our guides, those beings that are with us as we live our lives, through thick and thin. They could be an old friend from a past life, our cat, a forest spirit from the backyard, an angel, an alien, whatever. We all have spirit friends out there to help us. They've been called guardian angels, too. It's worth the exploration to see if you have any, and what they have to say. They can be invaluable allies.
Just don't be afraid to reach out. It's okay to ask for help.
