Breath of Life
“Breathe deep the Breath of Life, shared between all beings”
The breath of life… It started with the birth of the very first microorganisms in some ineffable event of arranging the primordial soup into a lipid bilayer surrounding some DNA and some RNA, some spark of intelligence. The breath that is shared between all living things.
As we inhale oxygen, plants and photosynthetic bacteria exhale it. While we exhale carbon dioxide, plants and bacteria inhale it. Everything is constantly breathing, moving the molecules we use to generate energy and build the building blocks of life through our bodies and our breath with one another. The breaths we take are literally us sharing our molecules with the rest of the world.
Breathe it deeply, knowing that the breath you are taking is one continuous cycle of breaths shared with all living things for billions of years, and will continue to breathe for (hopefully) billions more.
