“My Body is a Temple for my Soul”

“My Body is a Temple for my Soul”

As a Temple, my body is a place of devotion, where worship is for my self. The more space within my Temple, the more my divine self is capable of filling. As a Temple, my body is a vessel, and a gate. I allow only that which serves me to enter and gently recycle that which does not into the Earth. My Temple has boundaries in space, defining the spaces where you end and I begin.

I keep my Temple sacred by feeding it nutritious food, fruits and vegetables of delicious rainbow succulence, grown with love. When I eat animals, I am conscious of their origin and give them thanks for their sacrifice. I exercise my Temple to keep it strong and flexible, and from growing stagnant and heading to decay. I keep the water that nourishes my Temple and the air that breathes through it pure and free of toxins. I am mindful of how I treat my Temple and am reverent of my Body. I beautify my Temple so that I find it attractive and those who I resonate and have relationship with will enjoy as well.

I’ve had segments of my life where I was polluting my body and treating it like a dumpster, not a Temple. Even when I knew of this analogy. I was neglecting my beauty and my potential and the upkeep of my body. Some rooms had been forsaken for years. It’s easy to fall into that funk. It’s hard to keep up the work we need to do to maintain a thriving vessel. I’m very grateful for the chance to clean it up and explore the beauty within. I forgive myself, and choose to keep my Temple sacred.
