“Ride the Waves”

Today I’m just riding the waves. I don’t want to get sucked into the undertow.

Sometimes we can really nail it, and sometimes we don’t. Today feels like one of those days, for me. When I got home from work about 10 hours after painting this one, I realized I wished I had said, “Just as every wave crashes, a new one is formed, all a part of the same ocean.”

Well, I didn’t.

Every wave has its peaks and troughs. If you want to stay afloat, you need to ride with it, pace it, feel the current take you.
