Weep For Beauty
“We cry for things that are important. Our tears say more than words ever could”
Tears of joy, tears of sorrow, tears that refresh us and tears that release us, no tears are superficial. We cry because our emotions bubble up and we realize that feeling like a wave of truth and potency, moving us, forcing us to flow with the feeling.
Yeah, we could be crying about not getting a toy when we're six years old, bawling our eyes out about someone who mistreated us, gushing with joy for something monumental and great, all of these things are important. They are so important that it makes us overflow.
There's a stigma in the world right now about how crying is weakness and that we should ignore/master/suppress our emotions. This stigma is a fear-based paradigm that turns us away from feeling, and embracing the feeling, of our authentic self moving through us. It is so important to express ourselves. Expressing ourselves is empowering. It's actualizing. It makes us real.
Other people's insecurities will try to drag everyone down. Let your vulnerability pull them up.
