Ancient Beings

“Truly ancient Beings, trees watch over all life”

Truly magical creatures, trees are indeed the guardians of this world. They hold the soil together, give us oxygen, clean the air and water, nourish the plants that grow around them, networking with mycelium to create webs of nutrient exchange through the soil. Their biomass is almost entirely created through breathing and absorbing sunlight. Even the most massive of these gentle elder souls, living for thousands of years, grew from a tiny seed and have manifested literally out of thin air. The physicality of trees is not from the soil, they are not made from sucking up density from the earth, but instead by condensing water, light, and carbon from the atmosphere into their bodies. What a beautiful and magical process this is - they are the literal, organic proof of living manifestation.

Trees also gather minerals from within the soil, harvesting elements to harbor crystals and gemstones within them. I discovered this by crystal hunting a few times in a place in Washington, where I dug under the roots of previously cut-down (so sad) titans with a mattock, and crystals literally rain down from the clods of earthen mushroom root conglomerate as they fall. How magical!

Respect your Elders, fam - trees keep us all alive, and they hold within their sentient beauty ancient secrets of the living Earth.
